1st Light Horse Signal Troop, AIF, 17th Reinforcement, embarked from Melbourne, Victoria on board HMAT A14 Euripides on 4 April 1916.
The HMAT A14 Euripides weighed 15,050 tons with an average cruise speed of 15 knots or 27.78 kmph. It was owned by the G Thompson & Co Ltd, London, and leased by the Commonwealth until 2 June 1917.

8511 Sapper John Patrick DUGGAN, a 43 year old Labourer from Moonie Ponds, Victoria. He enlisted on 12 January 1916; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 20 December 1917.
8513 Sapper Aubrey Jeffrey SALMON, a 21 year old Carpenter from Newport, Victoria. He enlisted on 7 July 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 19 August 1919.
