The following is a transcription of the 3rd Light Horse Field Ambulance, War Diary Account detailing their role at the Battle of Rafa, Sinai, 9 January 1917.
Masaid 8 January 1917
1200 Mobile Section moved out with Brigade. Reached rendezvous at 1500 moved from rendezvous at 1630.
Rafa 9 January 1917
Arrived at Sheikh Zowaiid at 0100 and Magruntein at 0900. Battle of Rafa. No casualties 3rd Light Horse Fields Ambulance.
Masaid 10 January 1917
Returned to Masaid from Rafa after clearing field and evacuating to 1st Light Horse Field Ambulance.
