13th Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, 13th Reinforcement, embarked from Melbourne, Victoria on board HMAT A38 Ulysses 25 October 1916.

The HMAT A38 Ulysses weighed 14,499 tons with an average cruise speed of 14 knots or 25.92 kmph. It was owned by the China Mutual SN Co, London, and leased by the Commonwealth until 15 August 1917.

2274 Private Edwin Neil MAYALL, a 21 year old Bank clerk from North Mirboo, Victoria. He enlisted on 13 December 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 17 March 1919.

2269 Private Aubrey William McCANCE, an 18 year old Teacher from Melbourne, Victoria. He enlisted on 19 January 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 23 July 1919.

2278 Private Ernest James McCREDDEN, a 24 year old Farmer from Birchip, Victoria. He enlisted on 14 April 1915; and subsequently was Killed in Action, 23 June 1918.

 

2265 Private Willie PLOWRIGHT, a 22 year old Farmer from Pimpinio, Victoria. He enlisted on 7 October 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 23 June 1919.

2256 Private Michael POWER, a 44 year old Farmer from Numurkah, Victoria. He enlisted on 29 January 1917; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 8 April 1918.

 

2268 Private William SAWYER, a 22 year old Butcher from Winchelsea, Victoria. He enlisted on 15 January 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 22 August 1919.

R678 Private Robert Francis SMITH, a 28 year old Farmer from Kiata, Victoria. He enlisted on 9 November 1914; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 30 December 1918.

2267 Private Albert Edward Drury SOUTHAM, a 22 year old Clerk from Armadale, Victoria. He enlisted on 8 November 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 25 January 1919.

2270 Private Frederick Octavius STENBECK, a 32 year old Painter from Tower Hill via Preston, Victoria. He enlisted on 6 March 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 1 April 1919.

2259 Private Mervyn Francis YARRA, a 21 year old Baptist Minister from Dubbo, New South Wales. He enlisted on 25 February 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 21 March 1919.
