HMAT A30 Borda

 

10th Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, 13th Reinforcements, embarked from Fremantle, Western Australia on board HMAT A30 Borda 17 January 1916.

The HMAT A30 Borda weighed 11,136 tons with an average cruise speed of 14 knots or 25.92 kmph. It was owned by the P & O SN Co, London, and leased by the Commonwealth until 10 September 1917.

1902 Private Roderick McCASKILL, a 19 year old Labourer from Pickering Brook, Western Australia. He enlisted on 12 October 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 16 January 1919.

1901 Private Angus McCOLL, a 39 year old Prospector from Perth, Western Australia. He enlisted on 22 September 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 27 August 1917.
