9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Formation of Regiment occurring at Morphettville Race Course Camp, Adelaide, while "C" Squadron is formed at Broadmeadows Camp, Victoria.

9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Rhododendron Spur
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Bivouac was shelled with shrapnel, one man wounded. State today, 15 Officers, 305 Other Ranks, total 320. Bayonet strength 196. Sick to hospital 2 and sick from hospital 2.

9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Bir Ganadil
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Routine Patrol work. One Turk came into "C" Squadron outpost and gave himself up also 4 Bedouins with camels flock and goats.
Patrol to Moseifig caught 3 more Bedouin (1 man and 2 women) and reported a number of fresh camel tracks.
Lt Col WH Scott DSO left for Senior Officers School of Instruction Zeitoun.
Major HM Parsons - OC "A" Squadron to command Regiment in his absence.
