The transcription:
8 August
Mobile Column left Etmaler with Brigade at 1500. Reached Qatia at 1800 and bivouacked. At 2300 bearers and sand carts left Qatia with 1st and 2nd Light Horse Brigades on flanking movement to north of Bir el Abd. sledges and camels proceeded to Hod el Khirba.
9 August
Engagement to north of Bir el Abd continued throughout the day. wounded were collected in a hod to the right rear and at 1600 the camels and sledges were brought up from Hod el Khirba. Retired with mounded at 1700 and reached Hod el Khirba about 1900. From thence proceeded to Hod Dababis arriving at 2030 and then returned to Hod Negiliat, where a dressing station was opened about 2400. Wounded received 114.
Other cases which could ride went to dressing station at Hod Dababis and were not shown in our books.
10 August
All wounded evacuated by Ambulance convoy. Remainder resting at Hod Negiliat.
