1st Light Horse Field Ambulance, AIF, 29th Reinforcement Kyarra Group, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board HMAT A55 Kyarra on 3 September 1917.
The HMAT A55 Kyarra weighed 6,953 tons with an average cruise speed of 14 knots or 25.92 kmph. It was owned by the AUSN Co Ltd, London, and manned by Australia officers and crew. The Kyarra was leased by the Commonwealth until 4 January 1918. The Kyarra was torpedoed and sunk by a submarine in the English Channel, 26 May 1918.

17847 Private Walter MERRYMAN, a 32 year old Tram conductor from Kensington, New South Wales. He enlisted on 23 August 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 13 March 1919.
17850 Private Hilton Joseph SEINOR, a 33 year old Miner from West Maitland, New South Wales. He enlisted on 2 April 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 6 January 1919.
17849 Private Vivian Gordon TYE, a 24 year old Clerk from Darlinghurst, New South Wales. He enlisted on 28 May 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 28 June 1919.
17852 Private John Adair WAUHOPE, a 33 year old Sanitary inspector from Randwick, New South Wales. He enlisted on 24 January 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 27 January 1919.
