4th Light Horse Field Ambulance, AIF, "B" Section, embarked Adelaide, South Australia on board HMAT A30 Borda 23 June 1915.

The HMAT A30 Borda weighed 11,136 tons with an average cruise speed of 14 knots or 25.92 kmph. It was owned by the P & O SN Co, London, and leased by the Commonwealth until 10 September 1917.

The ensuing individual soldier's embarkation information contains the following details:

2714 Private William Benjamin TAYLOR, a 31 year old Labourer from Prahran, Victoria. He enlisted on 12 January 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 May 1919.

2722 Driver Joseph Edward TEAL, a 24 year old Loco cleaner from Norwood, South Australia. He enlisted on 27 January 1915; and subsequently was Killed in Action, 3 October 1918.

2692 Cpl/Clerk Leslie Quinton THOMAS, a 21 year old Civil servant from St Peters, South Australia. He enlisted on 27 November 1914; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 25 March 1919.

2736 Driver Mayoh Miller THOMSON, a 23 year old Auctioneer from Kapunda, South Australia. He enlisted on 22 March 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 3 December 1918.

2740 Private Joseph Henry TURNER, a 28 year old Porter from Goodwood, South Australia. He enlisted on 5 December 1914; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 1 November 1917.

 

2728 Corporal George Galvin WALLACE, a 25 year old Hairdresser from Tanunda, South Australia. He enlisted on 9 February 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 17 March 1919.

3877 Private Otto William WEHRMANN, a 19 year old Farmer from Jamestown, South Australia. He enlisted on 18 February 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 28 March 1919.

2705 Private James WILKINSON, a 22 year old Glass blower from Lockleys, South Australia. He enlisted on 30 December 1914; and at the conclusion of the war , .

2729 Shoeing Smith Walter Victor WILLIAMS, a 22 year old Labourer from Conmurra, via Lucindale, South Australia. He enlisted on 9 February 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 2 April 1919.

2706 Private Walter Harry WILSDON, a 21 year old Labourer from Caltowie, South Australia. He enlisted on 31 December 1914; and subsequently was Killed in Action, 8 October 1917.
