The following is a transcription of the War Diary of the 13th Infantry Battalion , AIF, of their role in the landings at Anzac on 25 April 1915.
24 April 1915
Lemnos
First Division Sailed.
25 April 1915
Lemnos
10.40 am - Sailed. Arrived off Anzac, 4.30 pm.
"B" and "C" (less one platoon) Companies disembarked under fire by TBD (Torpedo Boat Destroyer) - 9.30 pm. "A" Company also from "Seeang Bee".
26 April 1915
Anzac Cove
3.30 am - "D" Company and one platoon "C" Company disembarked under fire by TBD (Torpedo Boat Destroyer). Details of 2nd and 3rd Echelons left on board.
5 am - Took up position at head of Monash Valley.
