12th Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, Headquarters Section Vestalia Group, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales on board HMAT A44 Vestalia 22 June 1915.
The HMAT A44 Vestalia weighed 5,528 tons with an average cruise speed of 15 knots or 27.78 kmph. It was owned by the Gow, Harrison & Co, Glasgow, and leased by the Commonwealth until 10 March 1917.

26 Driver Ernest Harry CATER, an 18 year old Farmhand from Hurstville, New South Wales. He enlisted on 3 February 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 19 February 1919.
25 Driver Albert Henry JACOBSON, a 28 year old Tailor from Annandale, New South Wales. He enlisted on 25 February 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 29 April 1919.
27 Driver Walter Patrick SCOTT, a 26 year old Farmer from Moss Vale, New South Wales. He enlisted on 23 February 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 7 July 1919.
24 Driver Thomas SUTTON, a 23 year old Labourer from Glebe, New South Wales. He enlisted on 17 March 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 20 January 1916.
22 Sergeant Trumpeter Frederick Henry VERNON, a 37 year old Salesman from Newtown, New South Wales. He enlisted on 14 September 1914; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 28 January 1916.
23 Driver Ernest WILSON, a 27 year old Labourer from Gundagai, New South Wales. He enlisted on 28 October 1914; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 June 1919.
