3rd Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, 13th Reinforcement Borda Group, embarked from Adelaide, South Australia on board HMAT A30 Borda 11 January 1916.

The HMAT A30 Borda weighed 11,136 tons with an average cruise speed of 14 knots or 25.92 kmph. It was owned by the P & O SN Co, London, and leased by the Commonwealth until 10 September 1917.

1889 Private Oscar Edwin SHEARER, a 27 year old Mailman from Kingscote, South Australia. He enlisted on 11 October 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 May 1919.

1890 Private Patrick William SHEEHAN, a 32 year old Driver from Stepney, South Australia. He enlisted on 22 September 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 13 July 1919.

1891 Private Claude Arnold Cromwell SHIEDOW, a 26 year old Farm Labourer from McLaren Vale, South Australia. He enlisted on 26 July 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 16 January 1919.

1892 Private Edgar John SIMON, a 24 year old Stockman from Paddington, South Australia. He enlisted on 21 September 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 6 May 1918.

1906 Private Cyril Henry SIMPSON, an 18 year old Carpenter from Largs Bay, South Australia. He enlisted on 26 July 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 20 January 1919.

1893 Private Cecil Ernest Lee SKITCH, a 21 year old Station Bookkeeper from Malvern, South Australia. He enlisted on 4 October 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 7 June 1918.

1896 Private Ernest George SMITH, a 35 year old Labourer from Maylands, South Australia. He enlisted on 13 September 1915; and subsequently Died of Accident, 12 February 1916.

1895 Private Henry Alexander Fairlie SMITH, an 18 year old Labourer from Wharminda, South Australia. He enlisted on 8 October 1916; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 May 1919.

1897 Private Hugh Kondo STONE, a 25 year old Farmer from Meadows, South Australia. He enlisted on 6 September 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 12 May 1919.

 

1898 Private Cyril Watson St George TEASDALE, a 24 year old Farmer from Markarantie, South Australia. He enlisted on 23 July 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 17 August 1918.

1899 Private Walter Charles Douglas TREGONNING, a 21 year old Greengrocer from North Norwood, South Australia. He enlisted on 2 September 1915; and subsequently Died of Disease, 25 January 1917.

 

1907 Acting Sergeant Richard Norman WADMORE, a 19 year old Grocer from Magill, South Australia. He enlisted on 29 January 1915; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 11 May 1919.

1900 Private Edwin Payne WHITE, a 26 year old Labourer from Kadina East, South Australia. He enlisted on 23 September 1915; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 11 January 1918.

1901 Private Lewis Frederick WILKINSON, a 24 year old Assistant Vigneron from McLaren Vale, South Australia. He enlisted on 14 October 1915; and subsequently Died of Wounds, 1 October 1917.
