3rd Australian Light Horse Regiment, AIF, 29th Reinforcement Kyarra Group, embarked from Melbourne, Victoria on board HMAT A55 Kyarra 7 September 1917.
The HMAT A55 Kyarra weighed 6,953 tons with an average cruise speed of 14 knots or 25.92 kmph. It was owned by the AUSN Co Ltd, London, and manned by Australia officers and crew. The Kyarra was leased by the Commonwealth until 4 January 1918. The Kyarra was torpedoed and sunk by a submarine in the English Channel, 26 May 1918.

3406 Sergeant William Edgar Maxwell BLIGHT, a 22 year old Soldier / A&I Staff from Clare, South Australia. He enlisted on 16 February 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 May 1919.
3455 Private William Wallace FLOOD, a 19 year old Labourer from Hobart, Tasmania. He enlisted on 6 February 1917; and subsequently Died of Disease, 18 August 1918.
3414 Private William FOGARTY, a 33 year old Horse breaker from Mingarie, South Australia. He enlisted on 14 April 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 May 1919.

3448 Private Arthur Albert HODGETTS, an 18 year old Labourer from Deloraine, Tasmania. He enlisted on 19 January 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 16 May 1919.
3450 Private George Vyvyan JONES, a 27 year old Farmer from Glenfern, Tasmania. He enlisted on 25 January 1917; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 23 December 1918.

3454 Private Charles John William WOODS, a 33 year old Slaughterman from Launceston, Tasmania. He enlisted on 1 March 1917; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.
