9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Hod Nabit
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Troop sent to Hod el Bayad supposed to be the camp of Turkish Headquarters to look for enemy stores. Large quantity ammunition (Small Arms Ammunition) and a number of Camel Pack saddles found.
1400, Sent Patrol to Homossia.

9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - 25 Other Ranks marched in from 3rd Light Horse Brigade Training Regiment, Moascar and are posted.
Today to be observed as a holiday for Aquatic and Athletic Sports.
Leave to Cairo for Other Ranks stopped.
Extract from Brigade Routine Orders, 16 August 1917 - "Appreciation" The Army Commander had expressed his appreciation of the work done by Rickaby, Lieutenant TN; and, the Scouts of 3rd Light Horse Brigade during their "Special Mission".

9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Ain Ed Duk
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Stephen, Second Lieutenant HH; and, Blight, 1380 Lance Corporal marched out to School of Instruction., El Arish.
Wick, Day Patrol, reported that patrols which were sent periodically to Tel el Truny were fired on by enemy machine guns from Tel el Rishem. Machine gun was located approx Sq T4c1.6. Patrol also reported smoke which appeared to come from and enemy camp approximately 2,000yards north west Tel el Truny and Wadi Auja.
