9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Abasan el Kebir
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Hogan, Lieutenant LR; and, 17 Other Ranks left for course of railway construction work at Kantara.
Operation Order issued from Brigade Headquarters. Intent - to cover reconnaissance to be made of the country west and south of Beersheba.
Regimental operations order issued.
At 1300 the Regiment moved out [Strength 14 Officers 299 Other Ranks] joined the remainder of the Brigade and arrived at El Shellal at 1600. Horses were watered and bivouacked for the night.

9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Talaat ed Dumm
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - A quiet day was spent at Talaat ed Dumm and regiment moved out at 1920 for Enab.
The travelling and march discipline was good. 2nd Light Horse Brigade was passed, halted at Kilo 3.
Arrived at Kaluniyeh at 0105 and Regiment was watered.
Moved off at 0200 and arrived at Enab at 0300.
Scott, Lieutenant Colonel WH, CMG, DSO assumed command of the 3rd Light Horse Brigade while Charley, Major WT, assumed command of the Regiment.
