9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Routine training and patrol work.
1917

9th Light Horse Regiment Location - El Shellal
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Hannaford, 269 Staff Sergeant Major E; and, Harris, Sergeant Cook S, taken on strength from Training Squadron.
A consignment of gifts received from the Comforts Fund and distributed to the men.
The Regiment paraded at 1330 mounted and moved across the wadi fro training. Practiced dismounting for action and occupying fire positions, first by troops and then by Squadrons.
Horses in at 1800, watered and returned to camp.
1918

9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Solomon's Pools
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Resting. The cool climate of Bethlehem much appreciated after the Jordan Valley. This change is particularly noticeable at night, necessitating the rugging of horses.
Scott, Lieutenant Colonel WH, CMG DSO assumed command of 3rd Light Horse Brigade during the absence on leave of Wilson, Brigadier General LC, CMG; and, Todd, Lieutenant Colonel TJ, DSO. Daly, Major TJ, DSO assumed command of the Regiment.

9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Nine Other Ranks returned from leave Cairo, Lloyd, 1903 Trooper H, was admitted to hospital ex leave.
