9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Walkers Ridge
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - 1300 To assist landing of troops at Cape Helles rifle fire was opened on the Turk trenches and sustained for one hour. Turkish artillery replied with 6 inch or 18 pounder guns. Parapets damaged. Casualties were 2 killed and 4 wounded.
Killed in action:278 Private John Henry Hildebrand, 23240 Private Eric Gordon Clark, 21
3rd Light Horse Brigade War Diary - Casualties: 8th Light Horse Regiment, one killed, two wounded. 9th Light Horse Regiment, two killed, four wounded. 10th Light Horse Regiment, two wounded.
Heavy bombardment Helles all day. Several trenches taken by British also some by 1st Australian Division at Anzac Turks attack. Large reinforcements seen moving across front to Helles.
Two demonstrations 2130 and 2330 on Anzac front to retain Turks in this sphere. Turks shelling continues every day with good results, the casualties becoming regular. Accurate and skilful. Our guns do not appear to locate and silence. Two Howitzers and a 75 employed against us. Anafarta gun has now continued unchecked for six weeks. Men doing excellently but numbers thinning. It is very galling. Valedictory order by GOC regarding work of the 3rd Light Horse Brigade.
Kenneth Alan McKenzie Diary - 1300 Bombardment at point. Battalion attack on our right. Covered us and artillery. Troops landed at Helles under cover of fire. Back in reserve. Demonstration to keep Turks here while we attack at point. Advance of one mile made on our left at point.

9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - 1200, 15 Other Ranks proceeded to Divisional Sports Ismailia. 9th Light Horse Regiment had four entries.
Fulwood, 1543 Lance Corporal GH, won the sack race and came 2nd in throwing the cricket ball.
