The General Service Reinforcements, 6th GSR, Victoria, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board the HMAT A15 Port Darwin 14 September 1918.

The ensuing individual soldier's embarkation information contains the following details:

Full name of the soldier

The last address as a civilian;

64562 Private Stephen Reginald BAGLEY aka Leslie BAGLEY, an 18 year old Horse driver from Coburg, Victoria. He enlisted on 2 April 1917. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 4th Light Horse Regiment; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 30 January 1918.

64577 Private Alfred Edmeades BAKER, a 26 year old Sawmill Engineer from Kyabram, Victoria. He enlisted on 11 February 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 4th Light Horse Machine Gun Squadron; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 24 July 1919.

64538 Private James Marshall BALDWIN, a 22 year old Farmer from Melbourne, Victoria. He enlisted on 23 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 3rd Light Horse Field Ambulance; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 10 July 1919.

 

64560 Private Hamilton Warren CLARK, a 19 year old Student from Melbourne, Victoria. He enlisted on 16 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 4th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 June 1919.

64546 Private Charles James COLLINS, a 29 year old Driver from Melbourne, Victoria. He enlisted on 10 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 15th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 26 July 1919.

64545 Private John Rupert COZENS, a 20 year old Chemist Assistant from Geelong, Victoria. He enlisted on 15 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 15th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 24 July 1919.

64556 Private Edgar Wilfred CRABTREE, a 20 year old Farmer from Sale, Victoria. He enlisted on 8 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 15th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 26 July 1919.

 

64571 Private Lewis Roland DAVIES, a 35 year old Farmer from Jeetho, Victoria. He enlisted on 19 April 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 15th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 26 July 1919.

64539 Private Oliver Comeford DEMPSEY, a 19 year old Diary farmer from Burwood, Victoria. He enlisted on 18 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 2nd Light Horse Field Ambulance; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.

64551 Private Francis George DONEHUE, a 19 year old Farmer from Hamilton, Victoria. He enlisted on 5 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 15th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 24 July 1919.

64550 Private William Henry DYSON, a 20 year old Sawmill hand from Gembrook, Victoria. He enlisted on 29 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 4th Light Horse Machine Gun Squadron; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 24 July 1919.

 

64576 Private George Crompton HALLIDAY, a 20 year old Clerk from Brighton, Victoria. He enlisted on 13 March 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 8th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.

64578 A/SQMS Robert HUTCHINSON, a 27 year old Farmer from Dimboola, Victoria. He enlisted on 18 August 1914. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 15th Light Horse Regiment; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 8 October 1915.

64472 Private Herbert Francis HUTCHISON, an 18 year old Labourer from Dandenong, Victoria. He enlisted on 10 April 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 15th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 29 April 1919.

 

64476 Private Maxwell Rimmer JOHNSTON, an 18 year old Student from Hawthorn, Victoria. He enlisted on 25 February 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 8th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.

After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 2nd Light Horse Signal Squadron; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 28 June 1919.

64474 Private William JONES, a 24 year old Labourer from Melbourne, Victoria. He enlisted on 21 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 8th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.

 

64477 Private James Edward KIDD, a 20 year old Coach trimmer from Nar Nar Goon, Victoria. He enlisted on 21 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 8th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.

64540 Private Alexander Sackville KIDMAN, a 32 year old Grazier from Naracoorte, South Australia. He enlisted on 5 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 15th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 16 March 1919.

64564 Private Norman Charles KINNERSLY, a 19 year old Farmer from Lake Bolac, Victoria. He enlisted on 20 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 4th Light Horse Machine Gun Squadron; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 16 May 1919.

64478 Private Rupert Alfred Edward KNAPP, an 18 year old Draughtsman from Hawthorn, Victoria. He enlisted on 20 August 1917. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 8th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.

64555 Private Lester Joseph KOCH, a 20 year old Farmer from Avonmore via Elmore, Victoria. He enlisted on 24 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 8th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.

64479 Private Albert Murray KYFFIN, a 19 year old Labourer from Yarrawonga, Victoria. He enlisted on 20 May 1918. 64481 Private Johnstone Stanley LAWN, a 21 year old Salesman from Mordialloc, Victoria. He enlisted on 20 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 2nd Light Horse Field Ambulance; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.

64482 Private Andrew Cyril LeBROCQ, a 21 year old Clerk VR from St James, Victoria. He enlisted on 17 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 1st Light Horse Field Ambulance; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 15 May 1919.

64483 Private Owen Robert LYNES, an 18 year old Blacksmiths striker from Longwood, Victoria. He enlisted on 16 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 2nd Light Horse Field Squadron Engineers; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 26 July 1919.

 

64491 Private Peter Christie MARTION, a 34 year old Farmer from Nhill, Victoria. He enlisted on 1 June 1918. 64552 Private Robert MATCHETT, a 19 year old Grocer from Bendigo, Victoria. He enlisted on 16 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 8th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.

64490 Private Henry Alexander McCARTHY, a 22 year old Labourer from Ballarat West, Victoria. He enlisted on 24 April 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 3rd Light Horse Field Ambulance; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 10 July 1919.

64489 Private Frank Christy McCLELLAND, an 18 year old Clerk from North Fitzroy, Victoria. He enlisted on 13 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 1st Light Horse Field Ambulance; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 17 July 1919.

64488 Private Robert Thomas McDONALD, a 19 year old Labourer from Nardoo Deans Marsh, Victoria. He enlisted on 16 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the Not Taken On Strength; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 23 December 1918.

64487 Private Roy McEWIN, a 19 year old Engineer from Richmond, Victoria. He enlisted on 7 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the "D" Field Troop & Bridge Train; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.

64486 Private Peter Bruce McFARLANE, a 19 year old Farmer from Buffalo, Victoria. He enlisted on 3 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 8th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.

64485 Private William John McINTOSH, a 19 year old Baker’s mate from Tallangatta, Victoria. He enlisted on 16 May 1918. 64737 Private Bertie Gordon SLADE, a 19 year old Farmer from Newcastle, New South Wales. He enlisted on 10 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 14th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 24 July 1919.

54510 Private Edward Joseph SMITH, a 20 year old Labourer from Inverell, New South Wales. He enlisted on 4 April 1916. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 4th Mobile Veterinary Section; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 1 July 1919.

64759 Private John Harold STAFFORD, a 20 year old Labourer from Binnaway, New South Wales. He enlisted on 12 July 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 14th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 24 July 1919.

64739 Private John Davison Clyde TILLMAN, an 18 year old Turner from Granville, New South Wales. He enlisted on 29 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 7th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 28 June 1919.

64741 Private Samuel John TURNER, a 40 year old Cook from Liverpool, New South Wales. He enlisted on 4 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 14th Light Horse Regiment; and subsequently Returned to Australia, 9 December 1918.

 

64743 Private Dudley John Duckenfield WEAVER, a 43 year old Grazier from Moree, New South Wales. He enlisted on 8 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 1st Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 10 July 1919.

64744 Private Albert WEST, a 29 year old Labourer from Tamworth, New South Wales. He enlisted on 4 June 1918. 64747 Private Joseph George WILLIAMS, a 19 year old Station hand from Narrandera, New South Wales. He enlisted on 20 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the "D" Field Troop & Bridge Train; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 3 July 1919.

64746 Private Charles WILSON, a 33 year old Engine Driver from Sydney, New South Wales. He enlisted on 20 March 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 14th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 25 July 1919.

 

64749 Private Stanislas ZLOTKOWSKI, an 18 year old Jackeroo from Moree, New South Wales. He enlisted on 25 April 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the AIF Headquarters; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 2 August 1919.

The General Service Reinforcements, 7th GSR, South Australia, embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board the SS Malta 16 October 1918.

The SS Malta weighed 6,064 tons with an average cruise speed of 18 knots or 33.33 kmph. It was owned by the P & O SN Co, London.

R246 Private William Charles BOHN, a 32 year old Labourer from Prospect, South Australia. He enlisted on 19 August 1914. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 2nd Australian General Hospital; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 29 July 1919.

 

64259 Private William Ernest DUNK, a 20 year old Civil servant from Morgan, South Australia. He enlisted on 26 April 1918. 64894 Private Melville Hume McCORD, a 19 year old Farmer from Reeves Plain Mallala, South Australia. He enlisted on 12 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 9th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 10 July 1919.

64251 Private William Henry Rogers McKNIGHT, a 20 year old Bank clerk from Kapunda, South Australia. He enlisted on 25 April 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the AIF Headquarters; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 2 August 1919.

64897 Private Victor Milton RIDGWAY, a 21 year old Farmer from Cooks Plains, South Australia. He enlisted on 29 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 9th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 10 July 1919.

64869 Private Hurtle Peters ROWE, a 20 year old Bank Clerk from Two Wells, South Australia. He enlisted on 20 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 9th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 10 July 1919.

64900 Private Percival Stapleton THOMSON, a 27 year old Farmer from Tarpeena, New South Wales. He enlisted on 18 May 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the Australian Mounted Division; and subsequently Died of Disease, 29 November 1918.

 

64901 Private Gus Raymond WOODS, a 20 year old Paper worker from Adelaide, South Australia. He enlisted on 9 February 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 2nd Light Horse Brigade Headquarters; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 16 March 1919.

 

64902 Private Ronald Albert YARD, a 19 year old Engine Cleaner from Peterborough, South Australia. He enlisted on 6 June 1918. After embarkation and arrival in Egypt where he underwent additional training, he was allotted to the 9th Light Horse Regiment; and at the conclusion of the war Returned to Australia, 10 July 1919.
