9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Walkers Ridge
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - No Entry.
3rd Light Horse Brigade War Diary - The following Reinforcements arrived:
8th Light Horse Regiment, Captain Talbot Wood, Lieutenant GM Grant and 76 Other Ranks including seven machine gunners.
9th Light Horse Regiment, six Machine Gunners.
10th Light Horse Regiment, Lieutenant TJ Heller and six Other Ranks.
Captain Jaffray, 9th Light Horse Regiment, to hospital.
Bombed Nek from No. 0 Sap last night with good effect drawing considerable fire - Enemy 75 guns got into our Mountain Guns and shelled trenches. Also killed one and wounded one with bombs in No. 2 Sap, Wellington Mounted Rifles.
Inlying Piquet from today to find one Squadron only for duty 0730 for twenty four hours. Remainder in quarters by GOC orders.
Yesterday 23 of the Brigade went away sick and eleven returned to duty.

9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Roadhead Serapeum.
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - 0700. The Regiment marched out, 21 Officers, 41 Sergeants, and 431 Other Ranks. The remainder (dismounted men) under Captain Chanter - going by rail with baggage.
1100. Bivouacked for lunch at Ferry Post and then moved across the Canal at a spot about 1 mile north east of Ordnance Store on the El Ferdan Road for the night.
Transport came round by road through Ismailia and joined up there.

9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Tel el Marakeb
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - One troop “A” Squadron paraded at 0800 in full marching order carrying unused portion of the day's rations, emergency rations and one day's rations for inspection by the Officer in Command Brigade.
Syllabus of training for week ending 2nd August 1917 issued to Squadrons.
Squadron carried musketry training from 1000 to 1130.
Lecture to Officers and Sergeants, Hotchkiss Rifles, in afternoon.
