9th Light Horse Regiment Location - Abasan el Kebir
9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - The General Officer in Command 3rd Light Horse Brigade, Royston, Brigadier General JR, inspected the camp at 1030.
“A” Squadron moved out at 1500 to relieve “C” Squadron at El Gamli to continue digging and report to Commanding Officer 8th Light Horse Regiment for orders.
At 1830 Regimental Headquarters and “B” Squadron moved out to El Gamli reporting to the CO, 8th Light Horse Regiment at 2230.

9th Light Horse Regiment War Diary - Usual digging and wiring parties working but owing to excessive heat, orders received that no work was to be done during the heat of the day unless unavoidable. Metallic circuit telephone system installed throughout the bridgehead.
